🤖 OpenAI Releases GPTBot to Improve AI Models

OpenAI has introduced a new innovative web crawler, named GPTBot, designed to enhance the capabilities of artificial intelligence models such as GPT-4. It systematically traverses the Internet, contributing to the refinement and augmentation of AI’s functionalities.

According to a recent blog post from OpenAI, the utilization of GPTBot involves the analysis of web content, which holds promise in shaping future AI models. The content accessed by GPTBot adheres to stringent filtering criteria, excluding sources that are covered by a paywall, engaging in the collection of personally identifiable information, or containing objectionable content, all in line with OpenAI’s policies.

While this grants flexibility to website proprietors, OpenAI acknowledges that websites can opt to limit access to the GPTBot, allowing them the option to partially restrict or exclude GPTBot from their sites.

💬 ChatGPT Major Upgrades

More upgrades for ChatGPT have been launched. A lot of these were heavily-requested so its great to see OpenAI listen to the community!

Lets go through them:

• Suggested replies: Delve deeper effortlessly, ChatGPT now offers pertinent suggestions to extend your ongoing discussion

• Prompt examples: At the start of each new chat, you’ll find illustrative examples to assist you in your conversation

• GPT-4 by default: When you initiate a chat as a Plus user, ChatGPT will retain your previously chosen model

• Keyboard Shortcuts: Enhance your efficiency with shortcuts such as (ctrl) + Shift + ; for duplicating the last code block. Also (ctrl) + / for a detailed shortcut list

• Stay logged in: no more biweekly logouts. If you are required to log in again, you’ll be welcomed by a more inviting page

• Upload multiple files: This feature is accessible through the Code Interpreter beta, which is accessible to all Plus users

These latest upgrades to ChatGPT significantly enhance its accessibility and user-friendliness. A few quality of life improvements too which is great for a beginner user.

Following its initial debut, Spotify's experimental AI-powered DJ feature, which was initially introduced to select user groups in North America, is now taking a significant leap onto the global stage, reaching 50 countries across the world, according to a recent report by TechCrunch. Originally unveiled in February 2023 in the United States and Canada, followed by the United Kingdom and Ireland in May, this innovation is now expanding its horizons to encompass numerous markets, spanning Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, and South Africa.

While the feature is currently in its beta phase, its accessibility is exclusively extended to premium users. Furthermore, the functionality of the feature is currently tailored to the English language, irrespective of the native languages within the markets it enters. At its core, this AI-driven feature curates a personalized compilation of music tracks for users, accompanied by synthesized voice-powered spoken-word commentary, offering a novel and engaging auditory experience.
