📱 OpenAI plans to open a new app store

During a meeting with developers in London, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman discussed this potential plan. It's important to note that the app store is still in its early stages, and no definite timeline or strategy has been established for its development and implementation.

Interestingly, OpenAI may face a challenge in this endeavor as they could potentially find themselves in direct competition with their own partners, namely Salesforce and Microsoft. This situation is akin to attending a party only to discover that you and your best friend are wearing the same outfit.

The motivation behind this initiative stems from OpenAI's earlier launch of ChatGPT plugins, enabling users to engage with various websites like OpenTable, Shopify, or Expedia. However, these plugins have not gained significant traction, underscoring the necessity for further refinement of the product and thorough market research.

🥊 Elon Musk challenges Mark Zuckerberg to cage fight

A message was shared by Mr. Musk on his Twitter account expressing his willingness to engage in a "cage fight" with Mr. Zuckerberg.

Following this, Mr. Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, responded by posting a screenshot of Mr. Musk's tweet and added the caption "send me location."

When approached for comment, a spokesperson for Meta simply stated, "The story speaks for itself," according to the BBC.

Mr. Musk, who will celebrate his 52nd birthday later this month, also tweeted about his "The Walrus" move, humorously describing how he would lie on top of his opponent without taking any action. He accompanied this tweet with short videos of walruses, hinting that his challenge to Mr. Zuckerberg may not be entirely serious.

These exchanges have garnered significant attention on social media, with users engaging in debates about the potential outcome of the fight. Additionally, numerous memes, including mock posters advertising the bout, have been shared online.

🎨 Midjourney version 5.2 just dropped

The latest version of Midjourney just got released which boasts a number of new features and improvements making the software even more versatile and powerful. For those who are familiar with Midjourney, to use its new version you have to add the —v 5.2 parameter to the end of a prompt

The two notable feature is changing the aspect ratio, also know as ‘Zoom Out’. It allows users to extend existing images at the edges, adding new details and objects. It makes it appear as if the image or photo was taken by a photographer from a wider lens.

Some other cool features and improvements that they added include:

• Optimised text readability

• New styles and filters

• Bug fixes and performance improvements
