Reportedly, Google has granted early access to test its conversational AI system Gemini to a select group of companies, as excitement surrounding this competitor to OpenAI's GPT-4 continues to mount.

Here are the key points:

1. Gemini possesses the capability to empower chatbots, summarize text, generate content, and more. Companies are currently experimenting with a scaled-down version of the complete model.

2. Google's goal is to eventually offer widespread access to Gemini through its Google Cloud platform, putting it in competition with OpenAI's API offerings.

3. In recent times, the search giant has integrated AI features into its Search function and enterprise tools. However, Gemini represents its most significant foray into generative AI to date.

In the fervour surrounding large language models, the victor is likely to be the one with access to the most extensive and richest training dataset. If Google indeed utilizes content from YouTube, Google Search, Google Books, and Google Scholar to train Gemini, it will undoubtedly pose a formidable challenge to GPT-4 for the top position.

🎵 The ChatGPT of music

Text, visuals, and now even audio—Generative AI continues to expand its horizons across various forms of media. A recent introduction by Stability AI, named Stability Audio, enables the creation of high-quality audio based on textual prompts.

Here's the essential information:

1. You can input prompts into the application for both musical compositions (e.g., classical rock) and sound effects (e.g., raindrops on a window).

2. The platform possesses the capability to generate audio across any musical genre and has the ability to blend and produce audio from multiple genres.

3. The generated audio output can serve personal entertainment purposes as well as commercial applications, such as audio content for advertisements.

4. A free version is available, allowing users to create up to 20 tracks, each lasting up to 45 seconds, for non-commercial usage. The paid version offers 500 tracks, each with a duration of up to 90 seconds, and can be employed for commercial purposes.

In our testing, we found the tool to be highly proficient. While it may not yet compete with professional artists in terms of track production, its quality is more than satisfactory for both personal and commercial usage scenarios.
