🌏️ Google plans to rule the internet and AI
Google has recently made updates to its privacy policy, granting itself the power to gather information from the web to improve its AI models.
This new policy states that they will utilize publicly available data to train their AI models and enhance products such as Google Translate, Bard, and Cloud AI capabilities. Notably, they have refined their policy language by replacing “for language models” with “AI models'“
To keep up with this trend, social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit have implemented stricter measures to prevent other companies from scraping data for their own AI models.
As companies intensify their efforts to safeguard their data, the internet might witness reduced accessibility, leading to potential challenges in accessing information online.
Starting next week, all users with ChatGPT Plus subscription will have access to the Code Interpreter feature.
With Code Interpreter, ChatGPT will have the capability to execute code, allowing users to perform various tasks such as data analysis, chart creation, file editing, mathematical operations, and more. Moreover, you will also have the option to upload files and utilize them within the code execution process.
For ChatGPT Plus users, enabling Code Interpreter can be done easily through the settings menu
🧠 INSIGHTS
👁️ AI might change how blind people see the world
Chela Robles, who lost her vision, recently used Ask Envision, an AI assistant powered by OpenAI's GPT-4, to gain more visual details about the world around her.
Envision, initially developed for reading text in images, has integrated GPT-4 for image-to-text descriptions and can now summarize text in photos and answer follow-up questions.
Similarly, Be My Eyes and Microsoft's SeeingAI have adopted GPT-4 to provide enhanced services for visually impaired users. Integrating AI into these products offers significant advantages, but concerns exist about the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated information, particularly when it comes to critical decisions.
