🤖 China set to unveil AI ChatBot

Tencent Holdings, the prominent internet conglomerate from China, announced its forthcoming debut of an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot. This revelation was made through a social media publication on Wednesday.

The post showcased a demonstration conversation between a user and the AI chatbot, wherein the chatbot assisted the user in crafting promotional content.

This announcement follows China's recent initiation of approvals for the public release of AI chatbots, which commenced last month. Notably, other major tech entities in China, such as Baidu Inc and SenseTime Group, unveiled their own AI chatbots just last week.

🤖 ChatGPT allowed in schools

Educational institutions and educators are undergoing a significant shift in their stance toward the integration of ChatGPT and AI tools within the classroom. Having previously imposed bans on ChatGPT earlier in the year, many school districts are now rescinding these prohibitions, recognizing the enduring presence of AI in education.

A recent survey conducted by EdWeek reveals that over 70% of teachers consider it at least somewhat important to instruct students in the use of AI tools.

In alignment with the growing acceptance of AI in academia, OpenAI recently introduced an instructional resource titled the "Teaching with AI" guide, aimed at educators. Within this guide, OpenAI highlights several valuable applications of ChatGPT in educational settings, including:

1. Facilitating role-play for challenging dialogues.

3. Easing communication barriers for non-English-speaking students.

4. Enabling the teaching of critical thinking skills to students.
