🎨 Midjourney launches their new ‘panning’ feature

Midjourney, an AI image generator, has introduced its latest feature called "Panning." This new addition complements their recently launched "Zoom out" feature and enables users to expand their images in all four directions: up, down, left, and right by simply clicking arrow keys.

Here are the key details:

• By clicking an arrow key, the image extends in the corresponding direction.

• Utilizing the "/settings" command and selecting "Remix mode" allows you to modify your prompt while extending the image.

• You can pan multiple times on the same image, expanding it further as desired.

There are some current limitations to be aware of:

• Panned images do not support variations or different versions.

• The resolution of the image decreases when using the zoom out feature.

• It is not possible to pan both horizontally and vertically simultaneously.

• There may be instances of repetition in the image when panning.

Overall, Midjourney's new "Panning" feature provides users with the ability to extend their images in various directions, but certain limitations exist, such as decreased resolution, lack of variations, and the inability to pan both horizontally and vertically simultaneously.

🔉 OpenAI disables web browsing from ChatGPT

After users found a method to circumvent paywalls using the Browse with Bing tool, OpenAI has temporarily deactivated this beta feature for ChatGPT subscribers.

The feature was initially introduced to improve the search capabilities of ChatGPT, primarily benefiting ChatGPT Plus subscribers. However, OpenAI observed instances where the feature encountered malfunctions, prompting the decision to disable it temporarily.

🤖 Elon Musk fights back against Twitter AI bots

Elon Musk is causing a stir on the popular social media platform known as Twitter as he has imposed restrictions on the amount of tweets users can view. He attributed this limitation to the aggressive data scraping done by AI companies on the website.

The current limitations are as follows:

• Unverified accounts: 600 posts per day

• New unverified accounts: 300 posts per day

• Verified accounts: 6,000 posts per day

In the past, Musk had already prohibited ChatGPT from scraping data from Twitter. This decision indicates a broader change in his strategy for managing and profiting from data access.

He even retweeted a tweet from an Elon Musk parody account:
